Furry Hugs, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization created by Richard & Elaine

Williams as a way to give back to the community.

We provide stuffed animals to children and

senior citizens in need of a Furry Hug.

A visit to the Emergency Room or Hospital can be

a difficult experience for anyone.  For children and

seniors the experience of a medical emergency

can be overwhelming.  A Furry Hugs stuffed

animal helps patients feel safe, comfortable and

calms anxiety during their visit.  A Furry Hug

makes it easier for staff to connect with the

patient, gain their confidence and their trust.

We have received many stories of children calming down and being comforted by a Furry Hug.  Senior patients suffering dementia, whose eyes sparkle as they cuddle the soft stuffed animal.  Furry Hugs stuffed animals are used in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to comfort bereaved parents.  We were told of a senior citizen at hospice care passing away with a Furry Hugs stuffed animal cuddled in their arms. The stuffed animals are provided through charitable donations and fund raising events.  We would like for you to be a part of this project, please contact us for volunteer and support opportunities.
